Commercial cold chain appliance manufacturer Rockwell Industries on Wednesday said it has entered into a partnership with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to provide vaccine freezers for Sputnik V vaccine storage across the country

Hyderabad-based Rockwell Industries has joined hands with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories to provide its WHO PQS (World Health Organisation – Performance, Quality and Safety) certified Covid-19 vaccine freezers to enable storage of Sputnik V vaccine across India.

Hyderabad-based Rockwell Industries, a commercial cold chain appliances player, is partnering with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) to enable the storage of Sputnik V vaccine in India through their vaccine freezers. Sputnik V was launched in a limited pilot on May 14 and a commercial launch is expected in June.

Hyderabad-based Rockwell Industries, specialising in commercial cold chain appliance manufacturing, will provide these freezers to various hospitals and institutions across the country.

According to a release by Rockwell, the vaccine freezer plays a very critical role in the safety of vaccines and its potency as Russias Sputnik V vaccine, made available in India through Dr Reddy’s, requires a temperature range of minus -18 degrees celsius, to keep the vaccine stable and potent.

In addition to storage, Rockwell will provide end-to-end logistics and after sales service support for the vaccine freezers across India.
